SEED & SEEDLINGS: SEED POTATOES

We have several types of seed potatoes available in February, March (and April): early, mid early, mid late and late varieties.

  • Early potatoes have a short growth period (100 days) and are harvested before they are fully mature. They cannot be stored very long.
  • Mid early potatoes are harvested when they are more mature and can be stored until the winter.
  • Late potatoes have a long growth period and keep well in storage for the entire winter.

Potatoes are planted in rows. Early potatoes should be planted closer together than late potatoes.
