ORCHIDS

FOR EVERY INTERIOR A DIFFERENT PLANT…

Most flowering houseplants like to be in a bright spot in the morning. They need water and plant food during their flowering period. Some plants, such as the cyclamen, African violet, hydrangea and primrose love to have their feet wet. Make sure you always water your plants with tepid water. Every now and then you can water your plants with a sprayer or put them outside during a gentle rain shower.

After flowering, reduce the watering to just once a week. Never give the plant any nutrients after flowering. The plant can be repotted in spring. Always use good potting soil.

Blast from the past
The kalanchoe, with its deep green foliage and brightly coloured flowers, is a typical plant from the past that is very popular again. The snake plant is also back in vogue. Several snake plants are usually put side by side on the windowsill.
